Sales Policy

Please read our sales policy carefully and let us know if you have any questions.

A. Waiting List for unborn animals:

1. To be added to a waiting list for an unborn animal, email 6EFarms@gmail.com, click here to contact us or send us a message on Facebook with the name of the dam and gender of goat kid desired. Eye/hair color/polled requests will not be accepted.

2. A $100 per animal non-refundable, non-transferrable deposit is required to be on a waitlist. The deposit gets you first pick, before the animal is posted publicly. The deposit will be applied to final purchase price of the animal. We accept Venmo (@E6eFarms) or CashApp ($6eFarmstead) for deposits. 6E Farmstead reserves the right to retain any animal from any breeding.

3. Once your animal is born, you will be notified via email or Facebook messenger. We will send you pictures. You will have 12 hours to decide if you want that animal or if you'd like to wait for another. If no decision is made within 12 hours, we will move to the next person on our waiting list. Once you made your selection, 50% (less the $100 waitlist deposit) of the purchase price is required as a deposit to reserve the animal.

B. Reservations on born animals:

1. Reservations require a 50% non-refundable deposit per animal accompanied by our signed contract (see below).

2. ALL DEPOSITS ARE NON-REFUNDABLE, with the following exceptions:

   • Loss of the animal prior to agreed upon delivery

   • Sickness of the animal prior to agreed upon delivery

3. If you would like the animal to be examined by a veterinarian before pick-up, a CVI (certificate of veterinary inspection) can be obtained for an additional $200 due before the vet appointment is made.

4. Buyer will pick up goat kids after 2 weeks of age, on a pre-arranged date listed on the sales contract. Goat kids will require bottle feeding by buyer.

5. Reserved animals not picked up by the agreed upon date on the sales contract will be charged $7/day board for a maximum of 14 days. Should the BUYER refuse to pay boarding fees or pick up within the 14 day period, BUYER’S reservation and non-refundable deposit will be forfeited and the animal will be placed for sale.

6. Animals will not leave the farm, not be issued registration applications, and continue to accrue boarding fees until full payment is received from the buyer.

C. What the buyer can expect to receive:

1. A bill of sale for your investment.

2. Official registration application for the American Dairy Goat Association (ADGA). All registration fees are the buyer’s responsibility.

   • Pet/unregistered animals will not receive registration, only a bill of sale.

   • Wethers will not be registered and therefore will not receive registration paperwork, only a bill of sale.

3. A personal consult at 6E Farmstead of how to care for your animal, along with a packet of care information.

4. Bottle babies will be trained on the bottle.

5. All goat kids will be dis-budded (dehorned) unless specifically requested not to. Horned goats require full purchase price as a non-refundable deposit.

6. Registered kids carry the herd name: “6E Farmstead” and will be named according to our theme for the year. If you would like input on the name, please ask for a list of available names.

7. Wethers will be castrated at the age of 15 weeks. It is the BUYER’S responsibility to bring the wether to 6E Farmstead for castration.

D. Additional Costs Associated with Transport

Certificate of Veterinary Inspection (CVI): If your state requires a CVI for importation of your goats, we will schedule a CVI with our veterinarian. You as the buyer are responsible for the cost and mileage of the CVI. These fees are to be paid directly to 6E Farmstead prior to transport. The CVI fees are as follows:

• $180 for the first animal on the CVI, farm call, and mileage and $20 for each additional animal on the same CVI

• If your state requires blood work, there is an additional charge of $60 for the first animal in the test batch and $20 for each additional pig in the same test batch

Mileage to meet transport: We will meet ground transport within 1 hour of our farm for free.

Flights out of Sacramento International Airport: Add $150 for a new airline-approved crate and mileage.
